Mocha Protein Balls

Do you love coffee… duh! Do you love chocolate… double duh! well what happens when two beautiful worlds collide,,, magical mouth bombs!!!

My gorgeous friend are going to fall head over heels in love with this balls of deliciousness.

They will keep you full, and the best snack to have on hand when those morning and afternoon hunger strikes.

I am such a big fan of having a stash of bliss balls in your freezer, because when the munchies strike you just grab and go! They are life savers. I have a few flavour currently and never have to worry about pesky snacking or cravings!!

MOCHA PROTEIN BALLS

Ingredients (*Choose Organic where possible)

  • 1 cup Macadamias (soaked)
  • 1 cup Cashews (soaked)
  • 1 scoop vegan protein / pea protein/ or your choice of protein
  • 1 tbsp Rice Malt Syrup
  • 3 (heaped) tbsp Cacao Powder
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Bean
  • 1 tbsp instant coffee (and added to 1/4 cup Boiling water)
  • ½ tsp Cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt

Method

Boil 1/4 cup water and add the ground coffee and stir. Set aside and allow to brew for a 3-4 minutes.

Combine all the ingredients except for the coffee to the food processor and blitz until a crumbly consistency forms.

Add the brewed coffee, slowly, it may not need the full 1/4 cup, and blitz, until a dough is formed.

Using a tablespoon roll into 14 equal sized balls.

Once in balls finish them off by rolling in cacao, ground coffee, coffee beans or better yet chocolate 😛

They can be placed in the fridge for up to 5 days or longer in the freezer.
