Raw Coconut Roughs that will love your guts and will have your hormones humming!


Chocolate would have to be my favorite thing in the whole world… closely followed by dogs… but I can’t have one of those anytime I want… yet!

I love making my own raw chocolate, so I know exactly what’s in it and I can add extra goodies to make my body humdiggity. This one is full of amazing gut loving goodies and even better goodies to make your hormones hummmmm.


These chocolates are great, as they are loaded with nutrients and good-fats to keep you fuller for longer and curb those pesky cravings!!

A few reasons I love using Raw Cocao, is it has 40 times the Antioxidants of blueberries, it is the highest plant-based source of Iron- I bet you didn’t know that!!
Its also full of Magnesium which is incredible for muscle recovery and fatigue. It’s even a natural mood elevator and Anti-Depressant, which means its great for you when its that time of the month or you are craving something sweet. You don’t need to buy the sugar laden choc from the supermarket, as it is sooooo much better and easier to make your own!

Maca is very rich in nutrients (has a higher calcium level than milk) other benefits include increased fertility in both men and women, hormone balance, booster for the immune system, and  increased energy, stamina, improved sexual function, memory, and focus. (woah enough said!)

Collagen is the most abundant protein in our bodies. It’s found in muscles, bones, skin, blood vessels, digestive system and tendons (sorry vegans this one is not for you). It’s what helps give our skin strength and elasticity (bub-eye wrinkles!), along with replacing dead skin cells (hello glowing skin). It also helps break down proteins and soothes your gut’s lining, healing damaged cell walls and infusing it with healing amino acids. Therefore “seals and heals”.

Ingredients (*choose organic when possible)
  • 2 tsp Ghee
  • 1 cup Cocao Butter
  • ½ cup Cacao Powder
  • 2 tablespoon Maca
  • 2 tablespoon Collagen
  • Pinch Pink Seas Salt
  • Dash Organic Caramel Aroma/Vanilla Essence
  • 1/2 cup Coconut (desiccated)
  • ¼ cup Rice Malt Syrup/ Coconut Nectar

Bring 2 cups of water to the boil. Then, bring the heat medium simmer.

Put a small bowl (stainless steal) on top but do not let it touch the hot water. If you do not have one, you can put the ingredients straight into a saucepan (to melt), without the water.

Add your Cocao Butter and Ghee to the bowl, wait for it to melt.

Add Cocao Powder, ensure you continue stirring as you add each ingredient.

Add Maca Powder, Collagen, Sea Salt and Essence, continue stirring.

Finally add desiccated Coconut.

Take off stove and pour into moulds.

Place in freezer immediately (for approx. 2 hours)

Store in air tight container in the freezer (to keep longer) or fridge… mine never last long in the fridge.
